Training Period & Stipend Details
Stipend During OCES/DGFS Training
Initially, selected candidates will undergo a one-year Orientation Course for Engineering Graduates and Science Postgraduates (OCES). During this period, Trainee Scientific Officers (TSOs) receive a monthly stipend of ₹74,000. Furthermore, a one-time book allowance of ₹30,000 is provided to assist with academic expenses. Additionally, for those in the DGFS scheme, tuition fees for M.Tech are fully reimbursed, ensuring a stress-free learning environment.

Salary Structure & Emoluments 2026
Upon successful completion of training, candidates are appointed as Scientific Officers (Group-A) at Pay Level 10 of the 7th CPC. The starting basic pay is ₹56,100.
